Cologneo Campus
The Cologneo Campus is located in the Mülheim district of Cologne. An attractive, mixed quarter for work and living, commerce and the creative industries is being created there. On the former site of the global corporation Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz, urban modernity is lovingly combined with industrial charm. On the one hand, high-quality new buildings are being constructed, while on the other hand, the stock of old halls and other treasures of industrial culture are being preserved by modernizing these buildings and putting them to new uses.

Planned CO2-savings in numbers
per year
through renewable energies
A future-oriented energy concept is planned for the supply of the quarter, which fulfills high demands on ecology and sustainability. Our technology mix includes geothermal energy with over 100 geothermal probes as well as classic and novel building-integrated photovoltaics. An energy center with heat pumps is planned, which will provide large amounts of renewable energy on site for heating and cooling. There will be a grid feed-in of green surplus electricity beyond the neighborhood’s own needs. All new buildings are designed with green roofs. A total of around 3,500 m² of photovoltaic surfaces are planned on six roofs. In addition, there is a mobility concept for the entire neighborhood that includes charging columns for e-cars, e-bikes and e-scooters.
